Our mission is to help migrants successfully go through the UK or Canadian immigration process as smoothly as possible through a unique approach made of effectiveness, friendliness and flexibility.
VisaWise was born out of a personal experience with the immigration process in the UK. When VisaWise’s founder -a Canadian lawyer- decided to move from Montreal to London in 2007, she had to undergo the same process you are now preparing for. Having found no immigration consulting agency to meet her needs or answer her questions, she faced the UK immigration system alone and with rather limited resources.
This personal experience, combined with 10 years legal experience, a growing interest for UK immigration Law and the desire to help other people, is what gave rise to the idea of VisaWise.
At VisaWise, we believe that a better understanding of the process will minimize your stress and frustration, avoid any waste of money on unsuccessful applications and ultimately will make your immigration plans come true more quickly and easily.
That is why we are committed to make the most of our experience in the legal education field by using clear and jargon-free terms that will help improve your understanding of the UK immigration system in general, but also of the specific evidence requirements you have to meet when submitting your application.
VisaWise is regulated by various regulatory bodies which ensure that we always provide high quality services and the most current, concise and up-to-date advice. They also ensure that we conform to established good practice and high standards of professionalism, and respect the confidential nature of the personal data we hold on behalf of our clients.
As UK Immigration Advisers, we are regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), which is responsible for regulating immigration advisers, ensuring that they are fit and competent and act in the best interest of their clients.
We are also members of and regularly take training courses with the Immigration Law Practitioner’s Association (ILPA), which was established in 1984 to promote and improve the advising and representation of immigrants; provide information to members on domestic and European immigration, refugee and nationality law; secure a non-racist, non-sexist, just and equitable system of immigration, refugee and nationality law practice. Additionally, we are members of the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI), an independent national voluntary organisation, campaigning for justice and combating racism in immigration and asylum law and policy.
As an organisation that holds confidential personal information, we are registered with the Information Commissioner Office (ICO), the UK’s independent authority which upholds information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.
As Canadian lawyers, we are registered with the Quebec Bar, which oversees professional legal practice and promotes the rule of law.
